Special Event 2nd Fundraiser for It’s Me Annabelle Inc.
On October 29, 2006, It’s Me Annabelle Inc. proudly hosted one of Calgary’s most exciting culinary events – Brunch with Bonnie Stern. As an organization dedicated to raising awareness of complementary healing, It’s Me Annabelle Inc. invited award-winning culinary expert Bonnie Stern for a heart-warming and soul-nourishing brunch based on her latest best-selling cookbook, HeartSmartTM. Each and everyone who attended or partnered, helped raise funds that have enabled It’s Me Annabelle Inc. to continue to fulfill its stated mission and allowed us to donate some proceeds to Hadassah-WIZO, who provides women in Israel with state-of-the-art health services at the M. Fanny Comprehensive Breast Care Institute, located in the Assaf Harofeh Medical Centre.
We were so fortunate to hear Bonnie Stern speak and enjoy some of her incredible recipes. Guests enjoyed a one-hour demonstration of Bonnie’s 10 favorite foods, as well as an exclusive heart-smart brunch including Gingerbread Pancakes with Pear Compote and Smoked Salmon Soufflé roll. Bonnie Stern is one of Canada’s most popular food personalities. For more than 30 years, she has operated the Bonnie Stern School of Cooking, one of the driving forces behind the burgeoning Canadian culinary scene. She is the author of 12 best-selling cookbooks and has hosted three national television shows. Bonnie has written for numerous publications and newspapers, including Canadian Living, the New Outlook and the Chicago Sun-Times and currently writes a weekly column for the Saturday edition of the National Post.
